Song leading for established choirs
Leading a choir in song is my passion. I teach Kāpiti Community Choir every week on a Tuesday evening, and I'm available at other times to lead established community choirs in the Wellington-Horowhenua region, and further afield via Zoom link.
Whether it's a day workshop as a special boost to introduce some new repertoire, or a visit to your regular practice evening, I am happy to come and share some new material with you. My particular specialties are the songs of my ancestral culture: English, Scots, Gaelic and Celtic folk music, also songs from the country that I now call home: songs in English, te reo Māori and increasingly including NZSL as our third official language. I'm also fascinated by language and culture the world over, and can teach songs from many lands.
I can cover for your musical director on sabbatical or illness, and/or support assistant song leaders in continuing choir work on current repertoire during their absence.
